In a unique collaboration, Miranda Brown, artist, and biophilic designer, has teamed up with Heritage Carpets to create a beautiful range of rugs called The Nature Collection. The new range of NZ wool rugs are designed to promote wellness and connection with nature.
This unique collaboration is an example of two companies with shared sustainability values creating a locally designed range of soothing, yet dynamic interiors, that are good for the environment.
Miranda Brown’s nature-inspired design tells visual stories that reflect Aotearoa, New Zealand’s cultural and natural heritage. As a leader in the sustainable design movement in New Zealand for the past two decades, she is driven by regenerative design principles that look after nature and all life.
Miranda Brown’s soft flooring by Heritage Carpets offers three core designs in four colourways in rugs and broadloom/roll carpet. There is a custom colour option for these existing designs, and a fully bespoke design service where interior designers can co-create rugs with Miranda and Heritage Carpets.
Brown says that her art is about connecting people to the beauty of nature to enhance well-being and inspire people to look after our natural world. “My focus is the flora and fauna of Aotearoa and the patterns held within nature's design known as sacred geometry.”
