Sensory Experience Debuts In Singapore

Singaporean Island Sentosa has soft-launched Sentosa Sensoryscape, an experimental ridge-to-reef landmark that blends nature, design and technology.

The bridge connects guests from Resorts World Sentosa in the north to the golden beaches in the south with an immersive, multi-sensory experience.

This attraction is the first milestone of the Sentosa-Branui Master Plan and will provide guests with a unique activity to complete as they explore the island.

“This thoughtfully designed and welcoming green connector right at the heart of Sentosa will inspire our guests through many endless and unique discoveries,” said Thien Kwee Eng, CEO of Sentosa Development Corporation.

Sensoryscape unfurls across 30,000 square meters, inviting guests to experience the island’s rich biodiversity through its sensory gardens. The 350-meter verdant connector combines nature, architecture, and technology to awaken all six senses, including imagination.

The space was designed to slow its users down so they could unwind and rediscover themselves through the tranquil project.

“We look forward to welcoming guests from Singapore and all around the world to Sensoryscape, where a walk in Sentosa will never be the same again,” stated Kwee Eng.

The gardens inside Sensoryscape are Lookout Loop, Tactile Trellis, Scented Sphere, Symphony Streams, Palate Playground, and Glow Garden, each enriched with immersive audio-visual experiences for all ages. Some features of these gardens are panoramic vistas of northern landscapes, trickling water harmonies and gardens of edible plants.

Designed by Serie + Multiply, Sensoryscape transcends conventional architectural and landscape design boundaries. Guests are harmoniously connected with nature through the basket-inspired diagrid structures.

During the night, Sensoryscape transforms into a magical spectacle, where interactive digital light art and augmented reality ignite the sixth sense of imagination. The ImagiNite experience is unique to Southeast Asia and plays with light shows and digital floor projections, weaving narratives designed to marvel.
