Best Airport Hotel

The TWA Hotel at JFK Airport has been awarded the prestigious accolade of Best Airport Hotel in North America.

Presented by Skytrax, the renowned international air transport rating organisation, the award commemorated not only the service within the hotel but also the architecture of the building and the quality of the rooms and amenities.

At the hotel's heart, the restored landmark TWA Flight Centre, designed by Eero Saarinen, offers guests restaurants and bars. The hotel also offers a series of experimental exhibitions, from a 1962 living room to a life-sized twister game.

“Skytrax is the arbiter of quality in the travel world, and we are honoured to be named the Best Airport Hotel in North America for bringing a first-class experience to thousands of travellers every day,” said Tyler Morse, chairman and CEO of MCR.

All 512 hotel rooms offer a view of the historic TWA terminal, where they can watch aircrafts take off without hearing them.

The hotel's 200,000-square-foot lobby differs from that of its competitors, as it is designed without a single right angle. On the tarmac, a fully restored 1958 Lockheed Constellation ‘Connie’ aeroplane has been converted into a cocktail lounge, giving guests a unique dining experience.

The rooftop features an infinity pool that overlooks JFK’s busiest runway and a ski chalet-themed hideaway.

“We congratulate TWA Hotel for their fabulous success in winning this important guest satisfaction award for 2024,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

“The airport hotel market has become increasingly competitive in recent years, and for TWA Hotel to achieve this top honour is a fabulous acknowledgement of the high standards they provide to their guests.”

Prior to winning this ward, Skytrax named the TWA Hotel the United States and New York’s leading airport hotel for four consecutive years.
