AUSTRALIA | QT Gold Coast has once again been acknowledged on the national stage at the 2024 Queensland Hotels Association Awards.
QT Gold Coast celebrates four new accolades awarded at the Queensland Hotels Association (QHA) 2024 Awards for Excellence including the prestigious Hotel of the Year – Accommodation Division award.
The best of the best in Queensland hotels were on show at the prestigious Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence in Brisbane. More than 1,500 VIPs and industry guests gathered at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre for the annual awards, and just like every year, it was a fabulous, stylish, and heart-warming event.
Now in its 31st year, the QHA Awards for Excellence are widely celebrated as one of Queensland’s top industry events. This prestigious night unites hotels from across the state to honour the vibrant industry and acknowledge those who have demonstrated outstanding achievement.
Beginning the evening as finalists in five of 47 categories, the night concluded with QT Gold Coast taking out four awards. The recognition celebrates the designer playground’s refreshed conferencing and event spaces, accommodation offering, innovative dining experiences and its unique people.
The awards are as follows:
- Overall Hotel of the Year – Accommodation
- Best Meeting and Events Venue
- Best Restaurant, Accommodation Division – Yamagen
- Chef of the Year – Daniel King, Head Pastry Chef
Dominic Rose, General Manager, QT Gold Coast, said it was a great honour to have won four awards on the evening.
“Our wins at the QHA Awards are incredible showcase of our team, highlighting our unwavering commitment and passion to delighting visitors and guests with truly remarkable experiences,” Rose said.
QHA President, Richard Deery, said the 2024 QHA Awards for Excellence prove nothing compares to the atmosphere, the feeling of belonging, and the sheer joy of being out in a lively pub full of good people, good food, and great drinks.
“Queensland hotels are so much more. They are a part of our social fabric, a constant in a world of change, and a real-world place for connection in increasingly online-focused and isolated communities," said Deery.
“Our industry and its hard-working people have never been more appreciated by the communities we serve, and we all should be proud of that – my congratulations to all finalists, particularly the winners.”
