According to Tudor Tipteriu, National Sales & Commercial Manager, Slumberzone New Zealand, the aim has always been to find the most efficient and practical solution for each project, while providing reliable support from product selection and ordering through to delivery.
Across the accommodation sector, Tipteriu has observed a growing focus on sleep quality, with hotels paying more attention to mattress quality. He said that the bed has become an increasingly important part of the overall guest experience, with operators looking for high-specification products that are durable and can withstand the demands of high-frequency commercial use.
“A comfortable, supportive bed can directly affect how guests perceive their stay and, ultimately, their satisfaction and reviews. From our perspective, the key is finding the right balance between comfort, durability and value,” said Tipteriu.

Tipteriu added that the New Zealand and Pacific Island markets shared many similarities, particularly around quality and the practical demands of accommodation properties.

At the same time, he highlighted that logistics was one of the main challenges when supplying Pacific Island properties.
Therefore, delivery needed careful coordination with the project and the property, and good planning was important; he recommended allowing enough time for production and freight, confirming quantities and specifications in due time, and coordinating delivery dates with the project schedule.
“From our side, being a New Zealand manufacturer gives us good flexibility, and we can work with the operator or the FF&E provider to plan production and shipping requirements and ensure the products are ready when needed,” he said.
