The Inter-Continental Group (IHG) is significantly expanding its New Zealand operation that includes a new Holiday Inn Express. Its first Holiday Inn has opened this month in Queenstown following the conversion of the former Goldridge Resort and plans are advanced for a new-build Holiday Inn Express in Christchurch to be open in 2018.
The Queenstown property has undergone a major refurbishment and a 50-room expansion is planned adding to the existing 75 rooms.
