INVERCARGILL LICENSING TRUST APPROVE NEW HOTEL

The Invercargill Licensing Trust has announced a proposal for a new hotel in Invercargill’s city centre. Dalman Architects of Christchurch have been working closely with the ILT and liaising with their urban designer and the City Council to identify the ideal hotel site and have undertaken feasibility design and planning studies on their behalf.

Dalman Architects are specialist hotel architects and interior designers whose work throughout New Zealand includes the Four Points by Sheraton in Auckland, Novotel hotels in Queenstown and Christchurch, Crowne Plaza Queenstown and The George in Christchurch. Their work on the luxury eco resort Te Waonui Forest Retreat in Franz Josef won the award for ‘Best Hotel Architecture: Asia Pacific’ at the 2016 International Property Awards.

Richard Dalman, managing director, said that the team is “delighted” and looking forward to the hotel, which he hopes will “set a new standard of hotel accommodation in Invercargill, attractive to both business and leisure travellers.”
