Vendella speaks to over 100 accommodation venues every day, at all levels and from all corners of the country. These interactions have been humbling with so many operators working through challenges on many fronts; there have been moments where a laugh or a positive comment is shared.
Brainstorming ideas on how, as a supplier Vendella could help operators, the team found the answer while reading the flurry of recent posts on social media. Three themes appeared, firstly that operators are looking for good news; secondly, the desire for more support and last but not least; a love of chocolate. So Vendella is bringing all three to the South Island on the "Show Some Love" road trip.
At the end of September, General Manager, Luke Brodie and Marketing Team Leader, Alberta Brodie are embarking on a complete South Island road trip. Starting in the company hometown of Timaru, they will navigate the South Island with a mission to bring some love and cheer to the accommodation sector. Passing through over 30 towns and cities and covering over 2080km, armed with 20kg of Whittaker's chocolate, the famous 'Spin-to-Win' wheel with cash giveaways … and a camera.
Throughout the journey, they will visit venues far and wide, large and small. They will be capturing the progress and updating social pages hourly. Carrying out interviews to share the stories of the industry, photoshoots of places, people and properties, shout-outs and special mentions, as well as surprise visits so keep your eyes peeled on your parking lot and Vendella social pages as you might just be in for a surprise visit.
