Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, has revealed its plans to debut a boutique hotel in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Slated to open in late 2025, the new hotel will be part of a new-build 20-story mixed-use development featuring upscale residences in North Carolina’s capital city.
Owned by Tidal Real Estate Partners, the upcoming Kimpton in Raleigh will span the first six floors of the structure and showcase 179 guestrooms, including 20 suites.
Led by Architects at Earl Swensson Associates, Inc., ESa, the entirely new mixed-use development will be situated at the intersection of Hillsborough and S Dawson Streets, featuring interiors by INC Architecture and Design.
The stay experience will include three distinct restaurant and bar concepts, including a rooftop bar and lounge and over 6,500 square feet of meetings and events space. As with all properties under the Kimpton brand, the hotel will offer many beloved perks. This features morning coffee and tea service, evening social hour, a “Forgot It? We’ve Got it!” amenity program, 24-hour fitness centre, yoga mats, complimentary bicycle rentals and a no-fee pet policy.

The renowned Research Triangle, which includes Raleigh and its sister cities Durham and Chapel Hill, is home to reputable academic and healthcare establishments, such as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University and Duke University Health System.

Its notable museums and restaurants, alongside its outdoor activities and parks, make the city a destination all near and far alike. Guests at the Kimpton in Raleigh will have all of that and more at their fingertips with the hotel’s convenient location close to the North Carolina State Capital, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and many popular breweries and food halls.

The opening of Kimpton in Raleigh in late 2025 will mark the brand’s fourth property in North Carolina, joining Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in Winston-Salem, Kimpton Arras Hotel in Asheville and Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Charlotte.
