First Radisson RED Property in Poland

Radisson RED has docked on the Baltic coast as part of the redevelopment of Granary Island in the heart of Gdańsk, marking the brand's first property in Poland. With this new opening, Radisson Hotel Group expands its portfolio in the country to 22 operating and pipeline properties.

Gdańsk, the capital of Pomerania, has become one of the most frequented tourist destinations in Europe due to its strategic location on the Baltic Sea and rich history as a member of the city of the Hanseatic League. The historic centre of Gdańsk, restored after its destruction in 1945, is home to many famous landmarks, including St. Mary's Basilica, the Golden Gate, Artus Court, and the Main City Hall, all within walking distance from the hotel. Among the museums of Gdańsk are the European Solidarity Centre, dedicated to the Solidarność civil rights movement, and the Museum of the Second World War with its impressive collection of military equipment, documents, and memorabilia.

In a reconstructed port warehouse beside the Motława River, Radisson RED Gdańsk preserves its original walls, giving the building an authentically unique loft-style look. The property boasts a prime location at the northern end of Granary Island and is adjoining the Main City by a newly installed footbridge.

The hotel comprises 30 rooms and suites, including some of which feature a mezzanine level with an extra bed and four one- and two-bedroom suites of up to 50 square metres. The rooms offer breathtaking views of the Motława and the Main City with the famous Gdańsk Crane. The interiors are designed in an eclectic, playful style with decorative elements that pay homage to the building's history and location.

Radisson RED Gdańsk is home to the Whiskey in the Jar steakhouse and a grab-and-go station in the lobby. In addition to its restaurant and bar, other amenities include a fitness and wellness area 200 metres from the hotel.

"This new property is a unique place, full of energy, design, and style. We look forward to welcoming guests and introducing them to Granary Island's rich, interesting history and the vibrant atmosphere of Radisson RED's fashionable urban life," said Maciej Głownia, General Manager, Radisson RED Gdańsk.

Radisson RED Gdańsk is Radisson Hotel Group's fourth property in the Tricity metropolitan area, joining Radisson Hotel & Suites Gdańsk, Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdańsk and Radisson Blu Hotel, Sopot.
