Ramada Encore Opens in Japan

Wyndham has opened the Ramada Encore in Amagasaki, the first time the chain entered the Japanese market with this brand.

President for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Asia and the Pacific, Joon Aun Ooi, has stated that this opening will unlock a long-term potential for Wyndham in the market, specifically Asia and the Pacific.

“As travellers continue to seek out refreshing experiences in new cities, our growing presence in the country will enable us to warmly welcome our guests with our iconic “Count on Me” service culture,” said Ooi.

Amagasaki is famous for its historical and cultural landmarks and ‘escape from city life’ appeal. The region also boasts a large dining district and tourist attractions as well.

Ramada Encore is one of Wyndham’s 24 brands in its global portfolio and has been designed to meet the needs of modern travellers. The rooms have been fitted with modern rooms, a lobby, and common areas, including a restaurant and bar.

Wyndham Destinations President and Managing Director of International Operations, Barry Robinson, said that adding Ramada Encore to Wyndham’s locations in Japan will help add value to more people from across the country and international travellers.

“Ramada Encore has come at a time when consumer confidence, as well as curiosity about destinations that are a bit off the beaten path, are growing,” said Robinson.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has partnered with Wyndham Destinations to manage the hotel. The Wyndham Destinations Japan team will renovate and modernise the common areas, guest rooms, and more in the coming months.
