Sabre Corporation has introduced its latest software and technological innovation, Sabre Travel AI, which is capable of enhancing the power of content services within the lodging sector.

Lodging AI has been proven to assist travel agencies and the improvement of hotel attachment rates, as well as creating additional revenue opportunities. The AI technology can also custom design travel itineraries for guests, as well as analyse property attributes.

Sabre chief product officer, Garry Wiseman, said that artificial intelligence combined with data and insights, such as profiles and preferences, has become a very powerful tool in removing friction from the travel booking process.

"As the next evolution of intelligent retailing capabilities supported through our strategic partnership with Google, Lodging AI brings more personalised results to enable agents to be more efficient in their workflows and to ensure travellers obtain the most relevant options available," said Wiseman.

Two micro-services of Sabre’s lodging AI offering have been made available, with additional features to be added in due course. These include alternating properties, by suggesting up to 20 possible alternative locations for accommodation, as well as cross-sell, that can identify appropriate air bookings and itineraries with no lodging attached. 

Sabre’s pledge has been that lodging AI will ensure customers will increase traveller value, and drive profitability. Corporate travel managers are also expected to benefit, with an improved duty of care added.
