Culinary Cultures And Design Meet At Kulm St. Moritz

As three new restaurants with talented chefs open in Engadin this year, the Kulm Hotel St Moritz will become a culinary destination.

Taking the helm at the Kulm Country Club is Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco, while Tom Booton takes up residency at the legendary Sunny Bar.

The reimagined spaces of the Country Club celebrate the natural light and beauty of the surrounding mountains and create a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Diners can enjoy dishes prepared on the embers, grilled or charcoal, and served family style.

Directeur d'ambiance Arman Naféei has also been appointed to curate a bespoke music programme.

Inspired by the concept of a gastro-pub, Sunny Bar will be an infusion of Swiss and British flavours with the energy of old Alpine sports bars.

"The Kulm is a bastion of tradition, but it is also the home of creativity and innovation in hospitality – it is always our desire to work with cultural pioneers who can help create a sense of magical escapism for our guests," said Heinz Hunkeler, General Manager, The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz.

Peruvian destination restaurant Amaru will see the designs of Luke Edward Hall alongside Peru's own Claudia Canessa.

Based on the idea of sharing 'street food' inspired dishes, Amaru showcases the glamour of St. Moritz, infused with elements of Peru, a stunning mural hand-painted on the vaulted ceiling.

"We embrace a symphony of flavours, a grand culinary journey where every dish tells a tale of excellence. We offer the widest variety of cuisines and tastes across all our restaurants. Collaborating with the finest chefs worldwide, we craft an experience where every palate finds its masterpiece, ensuring tomorrow's delight surpasses today's expectations," said Mauro Taufer, Executive Chef at The Kulm Hotel.

The Kulm Hotel's culinary offering extends to the local favourite, Pizzeria restaurant, and the hotel's winter season reservations open this December.
