The best company to work for in Australia has been revealed, with leading hotel operator Accor being named as champion.

Accor, the largest hotel operator in Australia, has once again been recognised as a five-star employer by HRD Australia. This is the second consecutive year they have won.

Accor's journey to this coveted accolade was marked by a rigorous two-part selection process involving a comprehensive submission of their team offering and practices, followed by an anonymous employee survey.

This was followed by an anonymous employee survey that helped gauge employee satisfaction across multiple metrics, such as benefits, compensation, culture, employee development, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Adrian Williams, Accor Pacific COO PM&E, spoke positively about the award and the hard work it took to achieve this result.

"It's a great honour to receive this recognition for our achievements in creating an extraordinary workplace. It reinforces that we have a committed and caring team passionate about supporting and developing people and creating career pathways," said Williams.

"We want our team members to fall in love with the industry, and we have many initiatives in our business that create incredible opportunities for exciting careers in hospitality."

To attract, retail and develop talent, Accor has implemented several initiatives. The 'Work Your Way' initiative offers increased flexibility and a range of personalised benefits, creating a fulfilled and inclusive team member experience.

Accor also has a nation-leading Indigenous Careers Program, which has placed more than 2,500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team members into positions since 2015.

With a growing desire among its Indigenous team members for leadership roles, Accoor has facilitated numerous scholarships for tertiary education, leadership programs and the appointment of Indigenous hotel general managers.

They recently launched the 'School For Change', a training program that aims to improve individual's understanding of the causes of client change and its impact on biodiversity and communities.
