HONG KONG | Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has reported a strong response to its presence at AIME 2026.
Hundreds of attendees visited the destination’s epic stand across two days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
HKTB promoted its latest Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0 at AIME, Asia-Pacific’s largest business events exhibition, and wowed the hosted-buyer lunch with fine food and a lively lion dance performance.
Its 29 partner exhibitors and the breadth of these MICE businesses included airlines, venues, attractions, hotels, and destination management companies (DMCs), who together booked over 900 meetings.
Marilyn Tham, HKTB General Manager, Mega Events, MICE & Cruise, said the quality of connections and business leads made during AIME would see Hong Kong’s MICE industry continue to thrive.
“The number of MICE visitors from Australia and New Zealand travelling to Hong Kong has continued to grow, and we are confident this positive momentum will continue. We are pleased to bring the Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0 to AIME this year with over 200 inspiring ideas to enrich business events with Hong Kong’s vibrant energy and charm," said Tham.
"Together with our enhanced infrastructure, a year-round calendar of world-class events and world-renowned nightlife and gourmet experiences, I believe Hong Kong is an ideal MICE destination that can help every event to achieve more."
HKTB Director for Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific, Karen Macmillan, noted strong interest in the destination. She said that stand partners were really pleased with the response and the quality of the buyers.
"We look forward to welcoming more business visitors to Hong Kong in 2026 for their meetings, incentives, conferences and events, where they’ll experience a premium experience, incredible infrastructure and outstanding hospitality.”
