Archie Rose’s Refreshed Identity Under Chris Hemsworth

Archie Rose’s Refreshed Identity Under Chris Hemsworth

AUSTRALIA | Since 2014, Archie Rose has crafted Australian whisky in Sydney using local ingredients, guided by four core values: innovation, authenticity, education, and quality.

In 2026, 12 years after Archie Rose was founded, the business welcomed Chris Hemsworth as co-owner. In line with its goal of taking Australian whisky to the world, starting with a launch in the U.S., the team has spent the last 18 months working with Hemsworth to refresh the brand identity and packaging.

“This new chapter stays true to what has always defined Archie Rose. We’ve spent the last twelve years refining our whiskies,” said Founder Will Edwards.

“These three expressions and our new brand identity reflect our Australian-grown heritage, while giving us a strong platform to introduce Australian whisky to the world.”

The award-winning liquid remains the same, with three new bottles and packaging that showcases an updated logo and brand identity, along with the B Corp logo following accreditation in early 2026.

  • Single Malt Whisky: A flagship release here in Australia, housed in a new flask-shaped bottle and brand identity. The liquid for the Five-Time Australia's Best Single Malt Whisky remains the same.
  • Straight Rye Malt Whisky: Formerly known as Rye Malt Whisky, also housed in a new flask-shaped bottle and brand identity. It is the same two-time winner of World’s Best Rye Whisky.
  • Australian Original Whisky: An evolution of a selection of previous premium whiskies, this product is part of a re-imagined core lineup. It’s an approachable all-malt whisky crafted for everyday drinking, crafted from a marriage of a Straight Rye and Single Malt Whiskies.
  • New Bottles: Inspired by the Australian landscape, the new flask-shaped bottle features textured glass and a lighter, more sustainable design, honouring B Corp commitments.
  • New Boxes: The hexagonal whisky boxes have been swapped out for a significantly lighter, more sustainable box, honouring B Corp commitments and reflecting an updated brand identity.

“Unveiling these three whiskies with a look that reflects the richness of our landscape isn't just an exciting evolution; it’s Australian distilling at its absolute peak,” said new Archie Rose co-owner Chris Hemsworth.

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created and can’t wait for more people in Australia and around the world to discover them.”

From the 21st of October, the previous packaging for Single Malt Whisky, Rye Malt Whisky, and Australian Original Whisky will no longer be sold via the website and cellar door. They will still be available through retailers across Australia until they sell out.
