Sal Salis has announced a free deluxe whale swim experience in Ningaloo Reef, just off the coast of Western Australia.
Located in the sand dunes of Cape Range National Park, Sal Salis is an exclusive beach safari camp that operates seasonally, providing a place for customers to experiment with the beautiful and untouched natural environment.
In celebration of the 2024 humpback whale season, Sal Salis has offered this swim experience and free transfers to the eco-luxury camp when a minimum of a three-night stay is booked.
Each year, from July to October, Ningaloo Reef welcomes approximately 30,000 humpback whales as they cruise along the coast to return to their Antarctic feeding grounds. Ningaloo Marine Park is the only place in Western Australia where tourists can swim with these whales.
“Sal Salis is truly a special place, and there is much to share with those who visit,” said John Barnett, executive general manager of Lodges and Camps at Journey Beyond.
“As an all-inclusive experience, we’re delighted to offer even more value to our guests with a free deluxe humpback whale swim and free transfers to and from the eco-luxury camp.”
During the deluxe humpback whale swim, a dedicated spotter plane pilot will personally talk to experienced in-water guides and direct the boat to the best whale viewing spots.
Swimmers will be able to approach the whales as close as 30 meters, which will provide a once-in-a-lifetime view. A videographer will also be on board to capture special moments throughout the day.
While at Sal Salis, guests can enjoy chef-prepared meals in the morning, afternoon, and night, each featuring regional and seasonal produce.
In addition, the camp offers daily activities that allow guests to snorkel along the coast and explore Cape Range National Park.
