Pan Pacific Perth Appoints / Welcomes Rens Breur as General Manager, Bringing Fresh Perspectives on Luxury Hospitality

AUSTRALIA | Pan Pacific Perth has announced the appointment of hotelier veteran Rens Breur as General Manager, bringing over 30 years of global hospitality expertise to the role.

His appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as the hotel prepares to unveil its NZD 50 million transformation this May, marking a bold new era for one of Perth’s most iconic properties.

“It’s an honour to lead the team at Pan Pacific Perth at such a defining moment. This transformation represents more than a renovation—it signals the beginning of a new chapter for one of Perth’s most iconic landmark hotels," said Rens Breur.

"With reimagined guestrooms, the city’s largest hotel event space, and a commitment to sustainable luxury woven throughout, we’re focused on delivering what meaningful hospitality and service excellence look like today. I’m inspired by the team’s dedication and look forward to welcoming guests as we unveil this exciting new era in May.”

Breur is a well-known figure in the Australian hospitality landscape, having held senior leadership roles at The Langham Melbourne, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, and as part of the launch team for Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour in 2017.

Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Hotel Operations & Development at Fine Hotels in the Netherlands, where he oversaw a portfolio of six properties with extensive food and beverage (F&B) and meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) operations.

“We’re delighted to welcome Rens to the Pan Pacific Perth family,” said David Tonkin, Country General Manager, Oceania, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

“His extensive international experience, paired with a deep understanding of the Australian market, makes him the ideal leader to guide the hotel into its next chapter as we elevate our positioning in Perth and across the country.”

Breur has built a distinguished career across a portfolio of renowned hotel brands, including Relais & Châteaux, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Langham Hotels, and the ACCOR/Sofitel Group.

He has since held senior leadership roles, rising through the ranks as Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager, and General Manager across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
