A British holidaymaker staying in Egypt has been granted compensation after he fell ill with food poisoning.
Travel company Thomas Cook refunded Nick Hawkins $2000 after he became ill staying at the Steigenberger Aqua Magic in mid-2017.
The same Egyptian hotel caught media attention earlier this year when a British couple died after sleeping beside a room being fumigated.
Hawkins was refunded $2000 of his $2,500 total holiday costs from Thomas Cook after he was diagnosed with Salmonella having only eaten food at the hotel during his stay.
