NEW COMMERCIAL ARM FOR QUEENSTOWN REAL ESTATE

Queenstown’s booming commercial property sector has prompted one of the area’s most longstanding real estate companies to set up its first commercial arm of the business.

Based in Queenstown and covering Central Otago, Harcourts Highland Real Estate Group has announced the appointment of Queenstown local Nick Lambert to its team.

Lambert spent 10 years from 1997 working in a range of hotel general manager and business roles in Queenstown before heading to Nelson where he spent more than six years selling commercial real estate in the top of the South Island.

He returned to Queenstown last year and is “delighted” to be joining the Highland Real Estate Group.

“We absolutely loved our time in Queenstown and it’s a delight to be back, especially at a time when the region is growing at a fast pace and business is booming.”

He comes to Harcourts with a wealth of knowledge and experience as a former CEO of the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce, and a hotel management background that includes working as general manager for seven hotels in Sydney, Wellington and Queenstown.

Fifteen years ago he established a tourism and leisure consultancy specialising in concept analysis, strategic planning, sales and marketing, financial analysis and ongoing management. He has also been a company director.

“Having operated my own business, specialising in everything from start-ups to managing established companies with multi-million-dollar turnovers, I really understand business,” he said.

“I loved working in commercial real estate during my time in Nelson so the opportunity to work here with the Harcourts team is just perfect.

“It’s a role to which I can bring all my experience and knowledge, combined with enthusiasm and passion. I’m looking forward to working the areas of tourism, business, commercial and hospitality, sales and leasing.”
