Fire Evacuation at Langham

The Langham Hotel in Auckland has welcomed all guests back into the hotel after a fire evacuation this morning. Shortly before 10am this morning, the fire alarm was activated. This was caused by maintenance work being carried out by an external contractor on the Hotel's roof. The fire was immediately contained and all guests were safely escorted out of the building until the Fire Services arrived. Once the all clear was provided by the Fire Services, all guests were quickly welcomed back into the hotel. The Langham has ensured that no guests were in any danger at any time and the hotel is continuing to operate unaffected.
