AccorHotels has announced it has acquisition of the table reservation system, ResDiary. ResDiary is a commission-free online reservation system that provides an accessible and more convenient booking service and table management system than the traditional pencil and notebook.

The company began in Glasgow and is well established throughout the United Kingdom and the Asia Pacific region, including New Zealand. ResDiary has grown from its original roots of providing restaurant table reservations; it now also caters for bar bookings, weddings, and cinema tickets.

“Our ambition is to support ResDiary in its global expansion, consolidating its scale, and benefitting from its expertise to provide multiple attractive offers to our guests. This acquisition completes recent investments of AccorHotels in the Food & Beverage industry. It fully supports the Group’s ambition to increase touchpoints with a fast-growing customer base.” Chairman & CEO at AccorHotels, Sebastien Bazin, said.

AccorHotels has an extensive portfolio of restaurants and bars, and from Bazin’s comments, it seems AccorHotels plan on using ResDiary for internal purposes, as well as helping them grow their brand internationally.
