Airbnb in Japan is offering guests the chance to check-in via convenience stores.
Airbnb hosts will now be able to drop their keys off in lockboxes within Family Mart stores. Guests can then pick their keys up from the store in their own time.
Guests confirm their booking by signing into a tablet which opens the lockbox, releasing the key.
Family Mart, which operates over 17,000 stores in Japan, will roll out the service starting in June before expanding to 150 outlets by February next year.
7-Eleven has announced a similar service launching in June, as part of a partnership with travel agency JTB.
