Hotel Grand Windsor has been awarded the Gold Sustainable Tourism Business Certification from Qualmark New Zealand.

The Qualmark seal of approval recognises businesses who protect the environment and lead the way in making New Zealand a world-class sustainable visitor destination.

The luxury boutique Auckland hotel is part of the Sofitel's MGallery collection and is owned by CPG Hotels, who owns ten hotels in tourist destinations across New Zealand.

The award followed the hotel’s relaunch as a boutique five-star hotel last year. The refurbishments included the opening of Cooke’s Restaurant & Bar, as well as extensive renovations that added a new layer of luxury.

“At Hotel Grand Windsor, we’ve always prided ourselves on serving up the elegance and charm of a bygone era,” CPG Hotels Group Operations Manager, Ronnie Ronalde said.

“But we also have our eyes firmly on the future, ensuring we adhere to the environmentally friendly, sustainable business practices that customers demand these days.

“We’re thrilled to have had Qualmark recognise that we go above and beyond in achieving that aim.”
