Last year ending July, tourists spent more than $1.1 billion in Northland, with market leaders projecting that visitors will only increase in the foreseeable future.
With a series of new initiatives in the area like the expanding cycleways and the proposed Manea Footprints in Oponini, which the government has agreed to provide $4.6 million for, the Copthorne Hotel is in an excellent position to take advantage of an influx of domestic and international visitors.
