CPG Hotels expands its portfolio

CPG Hotels is diversifying its portfolio, as they confirm their acquirement of the Best Western President Hotel in Auckland. The privately-owned corporation currently owns twelve properties across six New Zealand locations.

The Best Western President Hotel is located on Victoria Street West and first opened in 1998. The hotel has a total of 120 rooms which have been styled by Mandal Design to create a chic urban oasis.

CPG is planning a multi-million-dollar redevelopment of the property which will launch in 2020. The hotel will remain open during the redevelopment but has promised that any disturbances to guests will be minimal. The development will boost the hotel from a three-star to a five-star rating, making it an appealing location for travellers seeking luxury accommodation in central Auckland.

Special Projects Manager for CPG Hotels, David Thompson, spoke positively about the redevelopment. “What is extremely exciting is that the President Hotel Auckland will provide additional room types, offering guests even more choice, including one- and two-bedroom apartments for those looking for more space for family and friends,” said Mr Thompson. “We know that there’s an increasing appetite for this style of accommodation at a premium level so we can’t wait to introduce the new President Hotel Auckland in 2020.”
