Construction has begun on an expansion at the King and Queen Hotel in New Plymouth.
The development is being completed in two stages, with the first being the addition of six luxury guest suites. The second stage, beginning April 2020, will add a further 24 guest rooms, making a total of 58 rooms.
The new developments will triple the hotel's 17 room it had at launch in 2013.
