WANAKA MODULAR HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN CHINA

Construction is underway for a new boutique hotel in Brownston Street, Wanaka.

The hotel is a modular build, meaning that almost the entirety of its construction will take place in China before being shipped to New Zealand and assembled on-site.

The site will be prepared in late November, with the 44 modules due to arrive from China in February or March. Once the site is prepared, the hotel is expected to be assembled in just 5 days.

The $12.47 million hotel will comprise of 35 private rooms across 3 levels, providing up to 70 guests with accommodation. It could be open as early as next April, according to Andrew McIntosh, Chief Executive of B-Group.
