A laundry service in Wuhan, central China has come up with an innovative way to give guests peace of mind when it comes to bed linen.
According to Chinese state-run media outlet Xinhua, Wuhan Kunteng Laundry will implant microchips into bed sheets, towels, and quilts. Each of the chips, which are water resistant and can withstand high temperatures, will contain a QR code that can be scanned by guests’ cell phones to reveal the date of the product’s last clean.
