Three of Shanghai's top tourist destinations have jointly launched a new city pass program to attract domestic and international tourism.
The Shanghai Pass ticket system allows visitors to book one, two, or three-day passes online covering the three destinations: Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, and Shanghai Wild Animal Park.

Shanghai Pass holders can scan QR codes to enter each destination during the validity of their pass. Aside from discounted prices, the passes provide more convenience for tourists, especially from overseas.
Nearly 100 other travel destinations have confirmed they will participate in the Shanghai Pass program since June, with 25 percent of the city passes being booked by inbound travellers so far.
According to the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, over 4.34 million inbound tourists visited Shanghai in the first half of 2019.
