STRAWBERRY DESSERT BUFFET IN TOKYO AMID CORONAVIRUS

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo (KPH) Tokyo, one of Japan’s most prestigious international hotels located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has been hosting a special dessert buffet entitled “Strawberry Dessert Buffet” for three months at its All Day Dining Restaurant “Jurin” on the second floor of the hotel. Due to the popularity of this event, the hotel has decided to extend it to May 31, 2020 and serve new desserts specially created in the theme of “Strawberries and Milk”.

From May 1, the fourth theme of “Strawberries and Milk” will be introduced featuring specially prepared desserts created from a harmonious combination of fresh strawberries and rich milk that can be enjoyed by children and adults. One special feature of this final theme is the “homemade whipped cream taste comparison”, featuring whipped creams meticulously made by its skilled patissiers using three different types of fresh cream, including two low fat and one low sugar content type creams. As 30 different desserts offered in the buffet, the patissiers serve each dessert on the plate to take commemorative photograph, which is also one of the hotel's precautionary measures regarding the coronavirus.

Furthermore, the hotel are taking the necessary actions in consideration of the health and safety of our guests to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. "We have sanitized facilities throughout the restaurants that are frequently touched using alcohol, changed all serving utensils at regular intervals, and placed culinary staff at food station to serve guests.
