Locations of Interest reach 300

As the country wakes up on day six of Alert Level 4 lockdown, the Ministry of Health has released more places of interest including multiple supermarkets, gyms and KFC restaurants.

The vast majority of locations of interest are centred in Auckland, and include universities, schools, buses, supermarkets and more. Anyone at one of the locations of interest during the relevant time must get a COVID-19 test immediately, self-isolate and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453. You can view the list of locations on the Ministry of Health website.

Twenty-one new community cases were reported on Sunday, taking the total to 72.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will make an announcement at 4pm this afternoon on the whether the Level 4 lockdown will continue after midnight on Tuesday, if it is extended, how long for, and whether it will apply to the whole country.

Minister for COVID-19 Response Chris Hipkins also announced the Government's intention to make scanning or manually signing in to many venues, mandatory. Despite the big announcement, officials are still working out the details of the plan, such as which types of businesses it will apply to.
