Stay of Queenstown | A Luxurious Blend Between a Hotel & Lodge

Stay of Queenstown, a hotel that opened in 2020, has adopted a unique ethos that treats each of its guests like a VVIP - very, very important person - which includes an array of surprises.

This luxurious seven-suite establishment is a blend between a hotel and lodge that overlooks Wakatipu. Just a few minutes’ drive from town, this retreat is a quiet sanctuary on the edge of bustling Queenstown.

The seven self-contained suites are named after different features of the South Island, such as the Tekapo Suite.

Each suite has views of the lake, Cecil and Walter Peaks and The Remarkables. Each room has a series of luxurious touches, like dressing gowns and compostable slippers, plus ultra-plush beds and lavender-scented eye pillows. In the bathroom is underfloor heating and Real World personal care items.

Amenities include a fridge, microwave and Nespresso machine, with the larger Tekapo Suite featuring a full kitchen.

The rooms have heating, a washer and dryer, Smart TV and spaces to relax indoors and out. A central patio is also available for a candle-lit drink in the evening.

Stay of Queenstown spoils its guests with an array of goodies, such as locally made honey, bread, cheese, crackers and chocolate, that are topped up each day.

A lakeside trail is just down the hill, which goes all the way to the centre of town. Coronet Peak is a 20-minute drive away, and The Remarkables is about half an hour.
