Shedir Collection, an aspiring luxury hotel group, founded by Martino Acampora and Eduardo Safdie is making a name in the hospitality landscape. With two elegant boutique hotels – Hotel Vilòn and Maalot Roma – already garnering excellent reviews, the company will be launching two more hotels this year – Umiltà 36 and Palazzo Roma.

In January 2022, Shedir Collection appointed a new CEO, Claudio Ceccherelli, the previous general manager of Park Hyatt Milan, Hôtel Martinez Cannes, and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. With nineteen years of experience in the hotel industry, Ceccherelli has returned to Italy to lead Shedir Collection’s revolutionary plans to expand within Italy's walls and later beyond.

Shedir Collection boldly launched Maalot Roma amid the pandemic, with two more boutique hotels set to debut later this year. Ceccherelli explained that they had identified a gap in the market for luxury properties amongst high-net-worth travellers. Shedir Collection has exploited this opportunity with the vision of becoming Italy’s best hotelier featuring premium contemporary architecture and sophisticated interiors.

Maalot Roma and Hotel Vilòn are the star properties of two new brands made by Shedir Collection. The difference between the two is their target audience. The Hotel Vilòn aims to be a private stay for savvy travellers craving to experience a day in the life of a local in Rome. Meanwhile, Maalot Roma offers a relaxed, cozy ambience more suited for a younger crowd. Situated close to the Trevi Fountain, the hotel includes the Don Pasquale restaurant, a bar, and thirty rooms decorated with a stylish mix of vibrant designs.

With two more hotels in 2022, Shedir Collection plans to offer travellers four unique hospitality experiences in Rome.
