EVENT Partners with Amadeus for Strategic Market Insight

Event Hospitality & Entertainment (EVENT), Australia’s leading entertainment, hospitality, and leisure company, has partnered up with Amadeus to access the industry’s most powerful business travel insight.

The covid-19 pandemic has transformed nearly every aspect of the world. Across Australia and New Zealand, travel restrictions and quarantine regulations have curtailed the overall case numbers. However, with limited travel, hoteliers have had to continuously adapt strategies and identify new methods to approach business management.

As borders reopen and guests begin to return, EVENT’s hospitality division, with a portfolio of over 70 hotels across Australia and New Zealand, has adopted Amadeus’ Agency 360 for strategic market insight. The solution provides exceptional business intelligence insights, enabling EVENT to uncover new opportunities to capture travel agency bookings as regulations relax and travel opportunities increase.

For 20 years, Amadeus’  solution has been the dominant source of travel agent booking data, tracking 100 percent of bookings from all four GDS systems. This enables hotels to identify the top travel agents and corporations booking in their market, advance opportunities to expand their business, and gauge their performance amongst competitors across their region. Data is refreshed three times a week to keep up with the ever-changing market conditions and showcase the most updated travel agent booking insight available.

“Our partnership with Amadeus enables us to gain greater visibility into the emerging opportunities in our region and the markets where we have hotel properties,” said Brett Barlow, Group General Manager – Revenue, EVENT. “The quality of the data available to both our corporate offices and properties will provide a real advantage to understand how we’re performing in each market and identify growth opportunities.”

“We’re pleased to partner with Event Hospitality & Entertainment and support them with key strategic insights for future growth,” said Nicole Dobson, Vice President Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Hospitality, Amadeus. “Our industry-leading technology, data and market expertise is at the service of our customers to help them recover from the pandemic. We pride ourselves on working hand-in-hand, in close partnership, in order to best meet our customers’ needs.”
