Koelnmesse, a global trade fair and exhibition centre located in Cologne, Germany, has announced its plans to divide Food and Foodtec into two separate business units, which two experienced trade fair managers will manage.
In recent years, Food and Foodtec has been met with great potential for local and international growth. To accommodate this, Koelnmesse will divide the business unit into two units beginning 1 June 2022. Claire and Bastian Mingers will fill the executive positions for the Foodtec unit and Food unit, respectively. They will be succeeding Anne Schumacher, who left the company at the end of February 2022.
Steinbrück has a wealth of experience in international trade fair business and management. She worked at Messe Frankfurt for over 15 years as Deputy Director of the German Pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015 before transferring to Koelnmesse in the year after. In 2018, Steinbrück served as Director of the imm cologne furnishings trade fair.
“Claire Steinbrück is characterised by her strategic strength, her experience in the global trade fair business and her consistent customer orientation,” described Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse.
Steinbrück will be overseeing the Cologne trade fairs ProSweets Cologne, Anuga FoodTec and euvend & coffeena as well as for the respective portfolio of events overseas.
Koelnmesse will also be welcoming Mingers, who has 11 years of experience at Düsseldorf, currently as Global Head of Wine and Spirits. Leading the Food business unit, Mingers will be responsible for ISM, Anuga, the premiere event Anuga HORIZON and the vast portfolio of events abroad.
