LXR Hotels & Resorts, a part of hotel giant Hilton, has welcomed a new breathtaking resort surrounded by lush greenery and mesmerising landscapes on the private Al Nawras Island in Abu Dhabi to its independent collection of luxury properties.
Set to open in 2023, Al Nawras Island, LXR Hotels & Resorts signals the brand’s entrance into the UAE Capital. Located in one of Abu Dhabi’s most recreational yet serene areas and designed with locally inspired elements, the resort will offer guests an exclusive escapade on a secluded island while still providing convenient access for those who yearn to explore the city.
The all-villa resort will feature 80 spacious and elegant beach and water villas, as well as a two-bedroom Royal Villa, stretched across 450 square metres around an avant-garde private golf course.
According to Carlos Khneisser, vice president, development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton, the brand is excited to bring LXR Hotels & Resorts to Abu Dhabi with Al Nawras Island.
“The UAE’s burgeoning capital has established itself as a global hub in recent years and has seen incredible development in terms of hospitality, sports and tourism. I believe Al Nawras Island will complement Abu Dhabi’s luxury hotel landscape perfectly, and we look forward to guests experiencing this unique property,” said Khneisser.
Al Nawras Island will seek to cultivate exploration, expression, and wellbeing, featuring world-class leisure and recreational facilities. This includes a deluxe gym, fitness studio, three swimming pools, tennis and paddle courts, a private marina, an exclusive beach club, and a relaxing spa. There will also be a playground, swimming pool, splash pad and kid’s club for children.
The resort will also offer a diverse mix of exciting culinary experiences – from two signature restaurants with alfresco dining areas to two exquisite bars and a wellness-inspired café.
Al Nawras Island will be a new addition to the LXR’s exclusive global portfolio of bespoke properties, each representing its unique location and offering an experience true to its place, history, culture and traditions.
“Abu Dhabi is a renowned luxury destination where visitors and local residents alike seek out exceptional moments and personalised service,” said Feisal Jaffer, global head, LXR Hotels & Resorts. “That’s precisely what our guests will experience at Al Nawras Island — a truly bespoke and exemplary resort, and one that we are proud to add to the growing global LXR collection.”
