Following the signing of the Moxy Montreal hotel, RIMAP Hospitality has signed another agreement with Marriott International to debut a 222-room Moxy hotel in 2024.
The upcoming hotel will be nestled in downtown Ottawa’s Byward market, an area east of the government and business district, overflowing with retail and entertainment.
Moxy Ottawa is expected to occupy the first five floors of a 22-story tower and will feature contemporary rooms with bespoke furnishings. Plans also call for public spaces, a street-side restaurant, and the Bar Moxy concept, which offers check-in at the lobby bar.
The property will showcase industrial-chic qualities by preserving the existing structure of the S.J. Major Warehouse – a heritage building erected in 1913 during the First World War.
Moxy Hotels currently boasts over 100 experiential hotels across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific.
