Ireland’s Best-known Hotel Chain to be Rebranded as Leondardo

Streets of ireland

The iconic Jurys name is set to disappear after more than 150 years in the Irish hotel sector as part of a major rebrand by the Fattal Hotel Group. All 35 Jurys Inn hotels across Ireland and the UK will become Leondardo hotels this autumn.

The first Jurys Inn was opened in Galway in 1993 by William Jury in College Green, Dublin, Ireland.

In 2017, the Irish hotel chain Jurys Inn was acquired by Israeli billionaire and owner of Fattal Group, David Fattal, and joined the Leonardo, Royal and Nyx properties under the Fattal umbrella.

At the time, Fattal had seven Leonardo hotels operating in the UK, which has since increased to 15 properties with a great deal of the marketing, procurement and other back-office responsibilities managed by Jurys Inn in Dublin.

According to Jason Carruthers, Jurys Inn managing director, there has always been an intention to merge the two hotel groups.
