Largest Hotel in Dortmund Opens in Historic Dortberghaus

Dortmund's City Council Ludger Wilde has officially opened IntercityHotel Dortmund, the largest hotel in Dortmund, in the historic Dortberghaus.

Nestled between the train station forecourt and the heart of the city, IntercityHotel boasts 231 rooms, five conference rooms, a restaurant and bistro lounge featuring a bar and terrace.

The interior of the newly opened property was envisioned by the famous Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun.

Guests staying at the hotel will receive a FreeCityTicket, allowing them to use public transport free of charge and explore the city with all its leisure, cultural and shopping opportunities in an environmentally-friendly way.

The B&L Group based in Hamburg will be overseeing the restoration and conversion of the Dortberghaus building, which is listed as a national monument.
