One Tree Planted is a non-profit organisation on a mission to help global reforestation efforts, planting one tree for every dollar. Since 2014, they have planted more than 40 million trees across over 43 countries worldwide.

“Every year we celebrate earth hour, and it was always about creating awareness about the environment, but this year we wanted to do something much more practical, so we teamed up with One Tree Planted to help restore forests and the environment across Australia,” said Markus Kaliss, general manager, Hilton Darwin.

The goal of One Tree Planted is to make it easy for anyone to help the environment by planting trees.

“With Hilton Darwin’s generous support, we’re planting trees across Australia for bushfire recovery. As the trees grow, they’ll restore critical habitat and corridors for wildlife, protect vital watersheds, and make a positive impact for local communities,” said Matt Hill, Founder & Chief Environmental Evangelist at One Tree Planted.

Due to the success of the Reforest Australia with Breakfast Buffet, the initiative, which started in March, was extended to April with 50 percent of the proceeds of the ticket sales donated to One Tree Planted.
