Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, has exclusively partnered with Wag!, a mobile-first platform that connects pet parents with professional pet caregivers for pet boarding, sitting and walking.
Kimpton is the first major hotel brand to offer dog walking services through a pet service provider for guests across its portfolio of more than 65 properties in the United States. This new partnership aligns with the company’s current pet-friendly amenities by presenting guests with access to new priority pet services.
In celebration of the new partnership, KimptonXWag! will be giving out 1,000 free 20-minute services for guests at any of Kimpton’s participating properties. In addition, guests will also receive access to a complimentary month of Wag! Premium with every Kimpton stay. Wag! Premium guests will be able to take advantage of 10 percent off every pet service booked, waived booking fees and 24-hour access to advice from credentialed veterinary experts. Kimpton takes pride in delivering best-in-class benefits and perks to its people and will provide all employees with a Wag! Premium subscription.
Inspired by Kimpton’s beloved signature robe collection, KimptonxWag have also released a limited-edition dog bathrobe with a trendy custom patch.
Over the past two decades, pet travel has steadily increased. According to a 2020 survey, 45 percent of dog owners were found to take their dogs with them when travelling for two nights or more. The onset of the pandemic has further added to the number of people travelling with pets, with nearly 1 in 5 households adopting a pet during this period.
