"I'm delighted and proud to announce this special milestone for Hilton, which sees us reach 100 hotels in Türkiye," said Tugrul Temel, managing director, development, Türkiye, Hilton. "Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim will bring great energy to a dynamic area of Istanbul and is an exciting way for us to mark this moment."
"One hundred hotels is a wonderful achievement for Hilton and demonstrates our long and fruitful relationship with Türkiye, where Hilton first established its international footprint over 65 years ago. We have built a strong presence in this welcoming country over recent decades and are proud of the unmatched legacy that Hilton has established here," added Armin Zerunyan, country general manager, Türkiye, Hilton.
Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim will be part of Taksim 360, a significant urban renewal project currently under construction with housing, offices, commercial zones, and shopping areas. Located steps away from Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, the hotel will provide easy access to Nisantasi, Karakoy and Bosphorus and reflect the Canopy brand's mission to offer hotels rooted in the most desirable neighbourhoods of cities worldwide.
Nearby Istiklal Street is one of Istanbul's most famous tourist hotspots, overflowing with boutiques, bookstores, art galleries, cinemas, cafes, bars, historical patisseries and restaurants. The pedestrian street welcomes up to around three million people daily. With a major subway station just 500 metres away, Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim provides convenient travel connections for guests.
The hotel will showcase 110 guest rooms enriched with unique design features that give Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim a distinct personality and charm. In addition, the property will feature a meeting room and a boardroom catering to business travellers, three food and beverage outlets, a destination bar and a Canopy Central concept – which acts as the hotel hub. Guests will also receive a warm welcome from the hotel's knowledgeable Canopy Enthusiasts, who can offer local guidance on cultural activities to do in the neighbourhood.
"We are thrilled to debut the Canopy by Hilton brand in Türkiye, specifically in the heart of Taksim Square, as this vibrant district is the ideal location with much to see and do for visitors," said Phil Cordell, global category head, Lifestyle and global brand head, Canopy by Hilton. "Each Canopy by Hilton is designed as a natural extension of its community. We look forward to inviting guests to enjoy the hotel's unique design and authentic food and beverage experiences as they relax and recharge following a day of exploring the local hotspots."
