With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality landscape, Anthony Rico has been appointed as the new Managing Director at Mondrian South Beach.
Prior to this position, Rico undertook various executive-level roles across several luxury properties, including General Manager at The Boca Raton Beach Club in Boca Raton, Florida; Assistant General Manager at SLS-Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas; and Vice President of Operations at Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas, Nevada. With many talents and a wealth of experience in hospitality and management, Rico brings a fresh, pragmatic, and positive approach to his new leadership role at Mondrian South Beach.
Rico boasts a successful history of advancing his properties both financially and holistically. At The Boca Raton Beach Club, Anthony looked after over 300 employees and 212 hotel rooms, overseeing the property's signature bars and restaurants while helping to drive a programme of over $30 million in total revenue. Furthermore, during his tenure with the SLS-Baha Mar, Rico contributed to an operation of over $100 million in total revenue, leading a team of more than 1,000 employees, 299 hotel rooms, and over 15 branded restaurants and bars, including two celebrity chef venues.
In addition to his robust background in hotel operations, Rico began his hospitality journey in food & beverage and is a certified Level II Advanced Wine Sommelier. He has worked with some of the most notable culinary talents in the world, such as Guy Fieri, Buddy Valastro, Dario Cecchini, and 3-Star Michelin Chefs Pierre Gagnaire and Gordon Ramsey, to name a few.
Rico has continuously proven his ability to build, train, motivate, and lead teams to the greatest heights. His joining will further enhance the quality of the guest experience and enrich and develop the already exceptional staff at The Mondrian South Beach.
