Hilton continues its expansion in Malaysia with the signing of Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi in one of South East Asia's most popular resort destinations. As part of an agreement with Tradewinds Corporation Berhad, the resort marks the fourth property between the companies, following Hilton Petaling Jaya, Hilton Kuching, and the recently announced Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur.

Slated to open in 2024, the 251-room resort will be Hilton's second property in Langkawi, a tropical utopia renowned for its natural beauty – home to South East Asia's first UNESCO World Geopark and a popular upmarket destination for international and domestic travellers alike. Complementing The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, scheduled to open in 2023, the resort will join Hilton's Malaysia portfolio of 13 properties across three brands, with another nine in the pipeline.

Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi will comprise an executive lounge and five dining concepts, including an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant and a pool bar. Guests can unwind at the award-winning eforea spa, indoor and outdoor pools, or break some sweat at the fitness centre or basketball and tennis courts. Additionally, the resort offers approximately 800 square metres and 400 square metres of event and ballroom space, respectively.

“For over a century, Hilton Hotels & Resorts has set the benchmark for hospitality worldwide," said Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice president, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton. "With the resort’s prime location, thoughtful design, plentiful dining options and signature Hilton hospitality, I am confident that Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi will raise the bar for exceptional guest experiences here on the island and across the country.”
