Accor is expanding its luxury portfolio with the signing of its fifth Rixos property in the United Arab Emirates, slated to open in Q3 2022.
Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is set to become a multifaceted resort offering an exquisite fusion of Arabian and Turkish dining and hospitality with incredible design, ambience, gastronomy, entertainment and unique leisure services. Inspired by the cultural heritage of fishing and pearl diving, the resort combines royal grandeur with 21st-century aesthetics, creating a mesmerising oceanic backdrop with stunning views.
Since beginning their alliance in 2017, Accor and Rixos have focused on working together to take on new opportunities and strengthen the brand's presence across the Middle East and the broader region. Rixos is a pioneer hospitality brand specialising in ultra-all-inclusive concepts with a vibrant, luxury ambience and family-friendly adventures. To develop the breakwater area to optimise the use of this prime location for economic and social enrichment, the group is also partnering with National Investment Corporation (NIC).
Located on the artificial breakwater known as the Abu Dhabi Marina, Rixos Abu Dhabi Marina will share facilities with the Fairmont Marina Residences offering unobstructed sceneries of the sea and the Abu Dhabi skyline.
The resort will also showcase an expansive offering of Food & Beverage outlets, from restaurants, lounges, and bars to food trucks. True to the Rixcos brand, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi will transcend hotel accommodation with an array of leisure and recreation facilities.
A highlight of Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is an entertainment square set to attract world-renowned DJs, performers and adrenaline-fuelled shows. A beach club will further offer guests the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking skyline of Abu Dhabi from the pristine beach while indulging in the rich flavours of delicious dining experiences. Meanwhile, the VIP pier bar and lounge, exclusive to VIP guests staying in the luxury suites, will be the perfect venue for special events and private night parties for those looking for an ultra-luxury experience.
There will be multiple additional outlets, such as over 2,800 square meters of meeting space, including a 1,250 square meter ballroom divisible into four rooms, which completes the property's incredible dining and event facilities. There will also be a spray action pool and a kid's pool, an outdoor recreation area with a wellness bar, outdoor gym facilities equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and a studio for aerobics, yoga and private fitness sessions. To round off the amenities, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi will feature a Turkish Hammam, while a teenager's club will allow young adults to engage in PlayStation tournaments, sports academies, rhythm workshops, mixology classes, and enjoy the latest Hollywood blockbusters in a private cinema.
