IHG Hotels & Resorts' boutique pioneer brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, is evolving beyond the original urban boutique hotel model with the signing of its first all-inclusive resort - Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort, Spa & Nature Park. Together with the resort's owner, Sunset World, and operator, Playa Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort, the resort will bring the brand's signature barefoot luxury and trademark ethos to the Riviera Maya's Playa del Carmen in early 2024.
First opened in November 2008, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos, Resort, Spa & Nature Park will undergo a rebranding of the award-winning, environmentally conscious resort and an interior renovation of its 255 architecturally acclaimed guestrooms, suites and villas.
The all-inclusive beachfront resort will feature want-for-nothing amenities and activities, including 11 unique culinary concepts, five pools, private beach access, a world-class spa, a fitness centre and several family-friendly facilities ranging from a Kids Club to water sports. The resort will also offer 26,200 square feet of space across 12 rooms for meetings and events.

Located in the heart of Riviera Maya in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos will fully embrace its namesake thanks to the three freshwater rivers that flow through the Tres Ríos Nature Park's 326 acres of well-preserved tropical forest. Tourists can explore ten sinkholes throughout the resort and nature park and discover over 90 species of animal and 120 species of plants. As one of the area's privately owned natural gems, Tres Ríos is governed by strict environmental regulations for sustainable tourism.
Where luxurious amenities and environmental conservation meet, Kimpton Hacienda Tres Ríos will attract both IHG One Rewards members and curious tourists looking for a unique all-inclusive experience. All guests can relax on the resort's beaches and explore the grounds through guided tours of the mangrove forests, whether it be via swimming, snorkelling or kayaking. The Hacienda Tres Rios will be Playa's first resort with Kimpton.
