Spa Mont Blanc at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva has welcomed renowned skincare brand Esse to Switzerland for the first time. Priding itself on its holistic, personalised approach to beauty and anti-ageing, the Spa will now offer a curation of treatments by Esse, making it the only Spa in Switzerland to offer Esse skincare treatments and products.
Founded in 2002 by South African chemist Trevor Steyn, Esse pioneered a range of products based around the skin microbiome and launched the world’s first live probiotic skincare product in 2015. In modern life, chemicals, pollutants, and antibiotics have disrupted the skin’s natural microbial balance. Esse seeks to rewild the skin through biotechnology, building barrier function to restore the skin’s ecology and allow its natural microbial diversity to thrive. Ethical and sustainable, Esse is certified organic, vegan, and PETA accredited, and carbon and plastic neutral.
One of the rituals available at the Spa is the Signature Esse Experience Facial, a treatment that uses live probiotics and specialised massage protocols to enhance the skin. This restorative treatment, available in 60 or 75 minutes, reduces inflammation and renews the skin, improving barrier function and targeting the signs of ageing by achieving microbial balance. The 75 minutes facial includes an ampoule with five billion living probiotics, which offers incredible results. Guests can choose an anti-inflammatory or lifting massage to enhance results and promote relaxation. Esse products are also sold at the Spa boutique, allowing guests to maintain a post-facial glow and build on their results in the comforts of their homes.
Occupying the top three floors of the Hotel, Spa Mont Blanc is a sanctuary of peace, with large windows overlooking Geneva and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Famous for its high-performing treatments, the Spa features a hammam, heated indoor swimming pool and vitality pool with water jets to help relieve tired and aching muscles while improving circulation and detoxifying the skin.
