Choice Hotels International continues the expansion of its upscale brand, Cambria Hotels, across the United States with the opening of its first hotel in Maine—Cambria Hotel Portland Downtown Old Port. Under a brand known for delivering little luxuries and design-forward accommodations in sought-after destinations, the six-story, 102-room hotel highlights Cambria Hotels' growth in the New England region.
Located at 25 Hancock Street, the property sits on Portland's famed "Peninsula" and places guests just steps from local restaurants, breweries, entertainment, and the city's historic seacoast. The upscale hotel offers easy access to major establishments, including Maine Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, and Northeastern University's Roux Institute, along with top leisure attractions like The Portland Museum of Art and the Old Port. The Cambria Hotel in Portland Downtown Old Port was developed by Koucar Management, one of the Midwest's largest private real estate developers and the recent recipient of Choice Hotels' coveted Premier Developer award. Capitol Riverfront and Cambria Hotel Downtown Detroit, scheduled to open later this year.
