Four Seasons is Coming to Taipei

hotel design project

A 260-room Four Seasons hotel is currently being developed in Taipei. The global luxury hospitality group, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, works with Yuan Lih Construction Co., LTD. to establish the new hotel in the heart of the Xinyi district.

The new hotel will be ideally situated for business and leisure travellers, set to be opposite the most iconic skyscraper in Asia, Taipei 101. As one of the top tourist attractions in the city, the tower offers high-end shopping, art galleries, and Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation and other central banks.

“Taipei has long been a target destination for Four Seasons as we look to expand our presence in Asia’s most important cities,” said Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development and Portfolio Management at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “We are tremendously excited to announce our upcoming hotel in Taipei together with our partners at Yuan Lih Construction CO., Ltd. This project will be a destination of choice in Taipei for both locals and travellers, combining thoughtful design, world-class restaurants and bars, and of course, personalised service by incredible Four Seasons people.”

The 31-storey building will offer the best in events, wellness, and leisure as the design will maximise natural light with spacious environments and soaring ceilings. A grand and junior ballroom will provide a large congregation area with floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings for meeting and event spaces. With cityscape and mountain views, the new hotel will feature an executive club lounge, fitness centre, an outdoor pool, and a spa.

Mr Lin Ming-Hsiung, President of Yuan Lih Construction Co., Ltd., detailed their team's focus on maximising land value during project creation.

We are focused on creating projects that maximise land value while creating exceptional architectural landmarks, and we look forward to achieving these goals again with a new state-of-the-art building in Taipei. We are proud to be opening a top international landmark hotel for Taiwan and are very pleased to do so in partnership with Four Seasons – one of the world’s leading luxury hospitality brands.”

RSHP, an award-winning international architecture firm, has been selected to design Four Seasons Hotel Taipei. The company will cultivate their expertise in residential, transport, culture, leisure, and sustainable innovation. RSHP’s senior design partner, Ivan Harbour, emphasised their excitement for the new project.

“Through three significant outward-facing spatial gestures across its elevation, the Hotel will embrace the immediate public realm at street level, the rapidly growing Xinyi District at mid-level, and Taipei’s iconic mountain setting at its peak – together creating a landmark building that is very much of its place,” said Harbour. “With a focus on guest experience and well-being, the team has carefully orchestrated the interactions between the Hotel and its surroundings. Every journey and every space will have its own moment.”

An opening date has yet to be finalised, though developers project the hotel to be completed by 2026/27.
